Capturing the action for the Stirling Wolves

From the start of the Super6 series to its demise in 2024 I have covered the majority of the games for Stirling Wolves (home and away). I was also providing that service for the Scottish Rugby Union, which meant covering both teams in each game. That sometimes meant I would miss a try from Stirling! However seeing the game from both teams perspectives was interesting and challenging. For me the quality of the rugby was fast and high impact and was improving each season.

Capturing the images for the SRU website updates and for the social media updates for each of the teams was fascinating. As always, it was about the action but also about the fans. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know and work with the team at the SRU. Equally the photos for Stirling were plastered all over their website, social channels and used for the weekly player analysis. So I really began to feel part of a community with one aim - continuous improvement of their skills and impact on the pitch. In turn that was all about developing the players. So it was fascinating trying to capture all of these aspects I certainly met great people and made some good friends along the way

Feedback : “It’s been such a delight to work with Bryan over the last five years of Super6 rugby.

“Bryan was always on hand and the first of in photographers group to confirm his availability in covering Super6 before every competition. His commitment to Stirling County, reliability, swift and seamless ways of working makes him one of my go-to photographers to cover rugby in Scotland.

“His eye for detail in capturing the action, commitment, determination and physical aspect of the sport on the pitch, matched with his eye for the softer, warmer, kinder, camaraderie and family aspect of rugby off the pitch makes him (in my opinion) one of the best all-round sports photographers in Scotland.”
